Young Professionals Society

The RTS Young Professionals Society (YPS) was founded by RTS Director Margie Thirlby in August of 2008. The group has approximately 40 active members with over 100 Facebook Group members. YPS completes service projects, socials, fundraisers, and meetings once each quarter to provide all members with a variety of involvement opportunities. YPS members also volunteer on an individual basis, through sharing their professional talents with the RTS office (ex: Project Management, website consultation, marketing services, financial expertise, etc).

MISSION
The Young Professionals Society (YPS), sponsored and staffed by Rebuilding Together Seattle (RTS), is a service organization of young professionals who support RTS and its mission through community outreach, fundraising, networking, and volunteering on an annual basis to ensure the growth and strength of RTS.

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP
YPS members are encouraged (but not required) to:

  • Attend quarterly group meetings (4 meetings per year)
  • Participate in the Annual Spring Rebuilding Day (the last Saturday in April)
  • Attend at least one YPS fundraising event or social each year
  • Consider participating in the Rebuilding Together Seattle Annual Appeal (November)
  • Invite friends to YPS events and volunteer projects
  • Serve as a community representative for RTS
  • Share professional and personal talents with RTS
