Despite having done a project with us just back in November, Assumption Parish joined us again on National Rebuilding Day for a Team Build! Though our NRM is postponed until September, we were thrilled to be able to spend the day working on a home in our community. Led by knowledgeable Project Managers Tim and Mike, the team was able to tackle the project in one long day. They also set a record for the least amount of trips to the store for materials - 4! They endured both rain and shine, determined to finish the work they had started in making this home in SeaTac safer to live in for the family that occupies it.
Repairs completed:
Flooring in 2 bedrooms
Rewiring of electrical outlets
Repair decks and handrails
Interior Painting
Homeowner: Navneet
Navneet and her family have lived in their home in SeaTac for 4 years. When Navneet and her family moved in, with small children and elders around, the house was difficult to move in. On her repairs list were to replace boards in all three of the decks surrounding the home, remove the old carpet that was hazardous to Navneet's daughter and parent's asthma, as well as electrical and plumbing issues. As their way of returning the favor, Navneet and her family made a homemade lunch for the volunteers that included many Indian dishes. Thank you, Navneet!
